Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Chicago is seeking a Clinical Nurse (RN) to provide and coordinate evidence-based care for an assigned patient group, following the ANA standards and the organization’s ethics.

As a member of the clinical care team, you will participate in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the plan of care and achieve exceptional outcomes within NMH.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN-accredited school/college of nursing.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher.
• Current State of Illinois, Registered Professional Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Advocates for patient-centered care and develops individualized care plans.
• Coordinates and provides evidence-based nursing care.
• Participates in teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Delivers safe, timely nursing interventions and documents responses in health records.
• Assesses patient needs, prioritizes goals, and communicates effectively at handoffs.
• Ensures ethical standards and professional conduct are maintained.
