Job summary

UCHealth seeks a clinician-educator in Aurora, CO, to coordinate, supervise, and evaluate nursing student experiences. The role includes an academic appointment at the University of Colorado Denver College of Nursing under the Clinical Scholar model and is an onsite, full-time position.

Responsibilities include hospital orientation, course planning with the partner institution, student supervision, and participation in direct patient care as required.

Qualifications

• BSN from an NLN or CCNE accredited or state board of nursing approved program.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• 3 years of recent clinical experience in specialty or related area.
• BLS through AHA or Red Cross; card valid through 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates hospital orientation for nursing students and coordinates content with the academic course coordinator.
• Provides clinical supervision, evaluation of students, and conducts clinical conferences to meet course objectives.
• Participates in direct patient care activities as needed and documents medication administration per policy.
• Collaborates with leadership to develop education and training goals and may include Multidisciplinary Grand Rounds and RN Orientation.
