Job summary

Helia Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to lead and mentor our care team in a fast-paced, resident-centered environment. You will assess changes in health status, administer medications, and ensure adherence to physician orders and care plans to keep residents comfortable and safe.

The role emphasizes strong communication, leadership, and teamwork to support compassionate care across shifts and with families and physicians alike.

Qualifications

• Illinois Registered Nurse license required.
• Experience in long-term care, acute care, or geriatric nursing preferred.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to read and interpret journals, policies, and regulations.
• Ability to write nursing notes, reports, and procedures clearly.
• Commitment to ongoing education and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide LPNs and CNAs with confidence and kindness.
• Observe, assess, document, and communicate resident changes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Receive, transcribe, and execute physician orders accurately.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans for wellness and comfort.
• Direct CNAs to ensure safe, respectful resident care per policy.
• Rounding with CNAs to ensure readiness and orderliness.
• Complete admissions, pain evaluations, and required documentation.
• Communicate significant changes to physicians and families.
• Support leadership and mentor team members in best practices.
