Job summary

Helia Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Illinois to lead and support a care team across long-term care residents. You will oversee LPNs and CNAs, ensure accurate documentation, and advocate for comfortable, pain-free resident experiences.

The role emphasizes compassionate leadership, collaboration with physicians and families, and commitment to high standards of care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Current, valid Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• Experience in long-term care, acute care, or geriatric nursing preferred.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret journals, policies and regulations.
• Ability to write nursing notes, reports and procedures clearly.
• Ability to interact with leadership, residents, families, physicians, and the public.
• Commitment to continuing education: in-services, CE requirements, seminars, Silver Chair trainings.

Responsibilities

• Observe, assess, document, and communicate changes in resident conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Lead and guide LPNs and CNAs to ensure safe, respectful care.
• Complete admissions, pain assessments, and required paperwork.
• Maintain clean, safe environment and report restocking needs.
• Communicate shift updates and coordinate with staff.
• Provide rounds with CNAs to ensure order and safety.
• Uphold facility policies and abuse prevention measures.
