Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree required; BSN-prepared nurses may be considered depending on campus needs.
• Active, current, unencumbered RN licensure in the applicable state.
• Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Creates an environment that facilitates learning and achieving desired student learning and program outcomes.
• Implements teaching strategies appropriate to learner needs, outcomes, content, and context.
• Helps students develop as nurses and integrate expected values and behaviors.
• Uses varied strategies to assess and evaluate student learning in classroom, lab, and clinical settings.
• Analyzes assessment data to inform continuous course improvement decisions.
• Implements a curriculum with clearly articulated program student learning outcomes (PSLOs).
• Designs and implements program assessments for quality improvement.
• Participates in professional development to enhance faculty effectiveness.
• Maintains professional practice knowledge to help students prepare for contemporary nursing practice.
• Demonstrates commitment to the college’s mission and values (inclusivity, excellence, compassion, accountability).
• Other essential responsibilities as outlined by the state board of nursing.
