Galen College of Nursing is seeking a Nursing Faculty - Clinical to join our team in Houston, TX. The role centers on engaging in the full scope of the academic nurse educator, including facilitating learning, assessments, curriculum involvement, and scholarship within an accredited program.

The faculty member will teach day, evening, or weekend sessions as needed to accommodate student and College needs, and will model professional nursing while guiding students toward PSLO outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active, current, unencumbered RN licensure in applicable state.
• Minimum of BSN degree.
• Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates learning and learner development.
• Uses assessment and evaluation strategies.
• Participates in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Serves as a faculty advisor to assist students in program and career planning.
• Acts as a role model of professional nursing.
• Designs and implements program assessments for continuous quality improvement.
• Maintains professional practice knowledge and expertise.
