Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a dedicated nurse educator to manage orientation and professional development for clinical staff. You will coordinate schedules, provide skills immersion, and mentor employees, ensuring documentation is complete and up to date.

You will also develop programs for quality improvement, coordinate community education, and assist with organization-sponsored events, while building alliances with department managers. RN licensure and ongoing certifications are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program required, including CCNE/ACEN/NLN CNEA.

Responsibilities

• Manage the orientation and professional development process for new, transferring, and existing clinical staff.
• Coordinate orientation schedules for appropriate population.
• Coordinate and/or provide skills immersion and lab experiences; provide feedback, coaching, and mentors employees and preceptors.
• Ensure orientation documentation processes are complete and filed; follow up with orientees to evaluate progress.
• Develop, monitor, and evaluate all programs related to orientation and professional development for quality improvement.
• Coordinate and facilitate community education and event opportunities.
• Assist with organization of organization sponsored events.
