Qualifications

• Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing required.
• Academic Preparation: Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral in Nursing, Nursing Education, Education, Instructional Design, Informatics, Leadership or Administration preferred.
• Special Certifications: Specialty certification in nursing, informatics, education or equivalent certification preferred.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs for Neuro PCU patients and staff.
• Coordinate orientation, onboarding, residency support and transition-to-practice experiences for new nurses.
• Provide bedside coaching, mentoring, and real-time clinical support to nursing staff.
• Facilitate competency validation, annual skills assessments, and ongoing professional development.
• Collaborate with unit leadership to identify educational priorities based on quality metrics and staff feedback.
• Support evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
• Lead educational activities related to neurological assessment, stroke care, neurosurgical care, seizure disorders and progressive care nursing.

Location Address: 1100 Central Ave SE Albuquerque, NM 87106-4930 Compensation Pay Range: Minimum Offer $87,526.40 Maximum Offer $149,032.00 Summary: Presbyterian Hospital Main is seeking a dedicated and innovative RN Clinical Educator to support professional development and clinical excellence within the Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU).

The Clinical Educator is responsible for assessing learning needs, developing educational programs, facilitating competency validation, and promoting evidence-based practice for nurses caring for patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions.

This role partners closely with nursing leadership, interdisciplinary teams, and system educators to enhance clinical competency, improve patient outcomes, and foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Serves as educator, consultant, researcher, instructional and evaluation designer, clinical practice expert, and interprofessional collaborator supporting the clinical development needs of staff throughout the PHS enterprise. This role supports the educational components of the organization's clinical initiatives and practices.

• Assist with implementation of new clinical equipment, policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Monitor regulatory and accreditation requirements and ensure staff education remains current and compliant.
• Serve as a clinical resource for nurses, preceptors, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary team members.

Qualifications

Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing required. Academic Preparation: Associates Degree in Nursing required, Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Masters and Doctoral Degrees in Nursing, Nursing Education, Education, Instructional Design, informatics Business, Leadership, Informatics, or Administration preferred. Specialty Certifications: Specialty certification in nursing, informatics, education or equivalent certification preferred Professional Requirements/Emergency Response: Maintains current training in following: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, and other emergency response certification may be required depending upon area of assignment Experience: Minimum at least 3 years of clinical care expertise required in clinical specialty. Neuro Progressive care experience preferred. In lieu of the 3 years experience, completion of an accredited nurse residency program, 1 year of Clinical Practice Lead experience, or prior educator experience.
