Job summary

Tenet Healthcare in Detroit seeks an RN Clinical Educator Coordinator to lead market-wide nursing education initiatives and oversee the DMC Nurse Extern Program and academic partnerships across the Detroit Medical Center.

The role coordinates onboarding, orientation, competency development, records, and continuing professional development for Nurse Extern I and II, collaborating with nursing leadership, facility educators, and HR to provide a consistent Nurse Extern experience across the DMC

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education or related specialty required; Masters preferred.
Minimum 3 years nursing experience in acute care setting preferred.
Current State Licenses & Certification required.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the DMC Nurse Extern I & II Program across the market.
Maintain market-wide records of Nurse Extern employees and placement status.
Oversee onboarding, orientation, education, competency development for Nurse Externs.
Serve as primary Nursing Education resource for Nurse Externs and preceptors.
Collaborate with nursing leadership, HR, and academic partners to standardize Nurse Extern experience.
