Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an experienced RN to serve as a clinical expert in surgical services, providing education, direct patient care, coaching, and ethical decision-making across teams.

You will partner with leaders to drive quality, support research when needed, and assist staff during staffing and case-load fluctuations.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Georgia (GA) required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) required; AORN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical education, research, coaching, and direct care for surgical services staff.
• Serve as a change agent to promote quality through clinical expertise.
• Collaborate with leaders and staff on patient care and ethical decisions.
• Communicate patient care issues to leaders as needed.

Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to leader(s) as needed.

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• Advanced certification in field of specialty (AORN) Preferred
