Job summary

Adventist Health Mendocino County is seeking a clinical educator to develop, implement, and evaluate education programs that enhance the competencies of nurses and clinicians. The role requires coordinating training, onboarding, and ongoing development in an acute care setting.

You will collaborate with leadership to ensure programs meet regulatory standards and support organizational goals, while mentoring staff and contributing to quality improvement and patient care outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Three years’ recent experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• One year experience in clinical education or staff development preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice required; CPR/BLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops, coordinates, and delivers education programs to enhance the clinical competencies of nurses and other clinicians.
• Designs processes to assess, validate, and document clinical competencies for nursing and clinical staff; collaborates with leaders to ensure alignment with standards.
• Maintains a thorough understanding of state and federal regulations, including Joint Commission standards, to ensure compliance in clinical education programs.
