Job summary

Adventist Health Mendocino County seeks an experienced Emergency Department Manager to lead front-line nurses and ancillary staff, ensuring safe, high-quality care and efficient unit operations in a 25-bed critical access hospital.

The role requires directing daily activities, coordinating schedules, driving improvements, and partnering with physicians and department leaders to meet patient, family and regulatory expectations. Relocation assistance may be provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in nursing required; Master's preferred.
• Five years of technical nursing experience preferred.
• One year of leadership experience preferred.
• Two years of acute care nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Builds a high performing clinical work team by recruiting and retaining skilled staff.
• Directs daily rounds with health team members and coordinates care plans.
• Manages unit staffing, overtime, and scheduling.
• Coaches staff and ensures patient safety and quality of care.
