RN, Clinical Practice & Education - Clinical Educator

Adventist Health invites applicants to join our dedicated team as a Clinical Educator, fostering professional growth and ensuring evidence-based patient care in a supportive acute care environment.

Job Summary

Ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based patient care by developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical education programs. This role requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment to design and lead initiatives that promote the professional growth and competency of nurses and other clinicians. Actively supports management policies and hospital operations in an acute care setting. Works collaboratively with leadership, staff, and interdisciplinary teams to foster a culture of continuous learning, ensuring that clinical competencies meet regulatory standards, organizational goals, and patient care needs.

Essential Functions
  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver education programs to enhance the clinical competencies of nurses and other clinicians.
  • Design and implement processes to assess, validate, and document clinical competencies for nursing and clinical staff.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal regulations, including Joint Commission standards, to ensure compliance in all clinical education programs.
  • Collaborate with clinical managers and leaders to identify knowledge gaps and training needs, aligning educational initiatives with strategic goals.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience (Required).
  • Master's Degree (Preferred).
  • Three years of recent experience in an acute care setting (Preferred).
  • One year of experience in clinical education or staff development (Preferred).
Licenses & Certifications
  • Current RN license in the state of practice (Required).
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (Preferred).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (Preferred).
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (Preferred).
  • Other professional certifications (Preferred).
