Job summary

Adventist Health Mendocino County is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead a critical care focused unit, ensuring safe, efficient patient care and high satisfaction among patients and staff.

The role requires RN licensure, ACLS/BLS compliance, and leadership experience, with relocation support available for eligible hires. You will partner with physicians and department leaders to drive continuous improvement and staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
• Master’s Degree: Preferred
• Five years’ technical experience: Preferred
• One year’s leadership experience: Preferred
• Two years’ experience of acute care nursing in hospital setting: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Builds a high performing clinical work team by recruiting and retaining skilled professional staff.
• Sets goals for patient safety, quality of care and regulatory compliance.
• Conducts daily rounds with physicians and staff to coordinate patient care.
• Monitors staffing needs and authorizes overtime when appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
