Job summary

VCU Health System Authority seeks a Clinical Coordinator to oversee patient flow and coordinate nursing unit activities during the assigned shift. You will serve as a resource and leader for patients, staff, health care providers, and other disciplines to ensure efficient, caring, and courteous care.

The role requires an RN license in Virginia or eligible compact state, a minimum of three years of clinical experience, and precepting/education obligations with potential supervisory

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible compact state.
• AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience.
• Nursing licensure renewal and RN to BSN program requirement within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient flow and coordinates activities for the clinical area during assigned shift.
• Serves as a resource and leader for patients, staff, health care providers, and other disciplines.
• Ensures that patient care is delivered efficiently, with care and courtesy.
• Organizes and plans work with input from patient/family and demonstrates sound clinical judgment.
