Job summary

AdventHealth in Celebration, Florida seeks a Registered Nurse to assess, plan, and coordinate patient care in an acute hospital setting. You will administer meds, educate families, and collaborate with physicians and staff to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care.

This part-time, day-shift role requires an Associate's degree in nursing (Bachelor's preferred), active RN license, BLS, and experience in acute care.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Associates degree in nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
• 1+ year acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
• Administer medications and treatments safely; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient information accurately in the medical record.
• Ensure infection control and safety compliance.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication.
• Supervise and delegate care within the team.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and performance improvement.
• Respond to code situations promptly; provide interventions.
