Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is hiring a Registered Nurse to conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and monitor individualized care plans, and administer treatments per physician orders. You will educate patients and families, collaborate with the care team, and document care activities in the medical record.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree in Nursing with RN licensure and BLS certification, with 1+ year of acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• RN license and BLS required.
• 1+ acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a high-demand environment and adapt to changes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological and psychosocial factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with regular evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments following orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care within the unit and participate in performance improvement.
