Job summary

Avita Ontario Hospital – Surgery Department is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Circulator to deliver direct patient care in the surgical setting. This role requires safe, compassionate care for pediatric through geriatric patients and constant communication with the surgical team.

Responsibilities

• Assess operating room equipment functioning and readiness; obtain supplies for cases.
• Monitor and assist patient during procedures.

We’re currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our SurgeryDepartment at our Ontario location.

Provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with surgeon and anesthesia staff continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory. Assesses operating room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of surgical operating team are met. Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of work experience in an operating room.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS & ACLS certifications.
• Current PALS certification.

Preferred

• Minimum of two – three years of work experience in the operating room.
