Avita Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the MedSurg Department at Avita Bucyrus Hospital in Bucyrus, OH. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care while ensuring smooth handoffs between shifts and supervising support staff.

We welcome applicants with current Ohio RN license and BLS/ACLS, and prefer 2+ years of nursing experience with telemetry; PALS is a plus for charge-trained nurses.

Qualifications

Current Ohio registered nurse license.
Current BLS & ACLS certification.
Two (2) or more years of nursing experience preferred.
PALS certification preferred for charge-trained nurses.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients in MedSurg.
Ensure continuity of care between shifts; supervise nursing assistants, LPNs and support staff.
Participate in patient and family teaching; advocate for patients in line with Avita’s mission.
Support a collaborative, inclusive environment and contribute to optimal patient outcomes.

We’re currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our MedSurg Department at our Bucyrus location.

Position Overview

Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients within the nursing unit. Responsible for ensuring continuity of care of the patients between shifts by providing direct care as well as supervising the care given by nursing assistants, LPNs and supportive staff members. Participates in patient and family teaching. Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

Required:

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
Current BLS & ACLS certification.

Preferred:

Two (2) or more years of previous nursing experience.
Previous telemetry experience.
PALS certification. (For charge trained nurses.)
