Job summary

Avita Bucyrus Hospital in Bucyrus, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Dialysis program in our Nursing Administration Department. The role involves setting up, performing and discontinuing dialysis treatments, and collaborating with nephrology staff to prioritize patient care.

The ideal candidate will have an active OH RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1–2 years of acute/critical care nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or graduate of a diploma/associate/baccalaureate program.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• 1–2 years nursing experience in acute care/critical/ICU environments (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Set up, perform and take down dialysis treatments on a variety of patients.
• Travel to all campuses and coordinate with nephrologist on therapy priorities.
• Access dialysis catheters and fistulas and follow established standards of practice.
• Charge and document care accurately and act as a patient advocate aligned with the facility’s mission.

We’re currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Nursing Administration Department at our Bucyrus location.

Position Overview

This role will be responsible to set up, perform and take down dialysis treatments on a variety of patients. Must be able to travel to all campuses and be able to prioritize dialysis therapies with nephrologist based on the patient needs. Must be able to access dialysis catheters and fistulas for dialysis treatments. Must be able to follow established standards of practice. Must be able to charge and document effectively. Must maintain role as patient advocate with a focus on the facility’s mission.

Qualifications

Required:

• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or graduate of a diploma, associate or baccalaureate academic progra1 to 2 years nursing experience in acute care/critical care environment.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in State of Ohio.
