Job summary

Essentia Health in Duluth, MN is seeking a licensed RN (BSN or ADN) to lead and provide comprehensive care for acute behavioral health patients, including assessment, planning, and evaluation. You will supervise nursing staff and ensure regulatory compliance.

This 0.8 FTE position features Day/Eve rotation, eight-hour shifts, weekends every other, and a starting schedule of 07:00 or 15:00 with respective end times. BCLS required; Minnesota licensure required.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN from an accredited school or college of nursing.
• Behavioral health experience as an RN, BHT, or intern/capstone student preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize and provide care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Lead nursing personnel, delegating tasks according to licensure and job descriptions.
• Meet Joint Commission and other regulatory/accrediting requirements.
• Provide direct patient care to acute mental health patients and educate families.

Job Description:

What you'll get to do in this role:

• You will be in charge of organizing and providing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• You will get to be a team leader and delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions.
• You will be part of something bigger as you will contribute to meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and in turn serve the community in which you live.
• You will meet the requirements of the Joint Commission as applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.
• You will be providing direct patient care to acute mental health patients as well as supporting the family by providing education and updates.

Education Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing
• Behavioral health experience as an RN, BHT, or intern/capstone student preferred

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• 1 year Behavioral Health experience

This position will work the following:

• 0.8 FTE
• 8 Hour Shifts
• Day/Evening Rotation
• Every other weekend

Licensure/CertificationQualifications:

• Current nursing licensure in Minnesota

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month
