Job summary

Essentia Health in Duluth, Minnesota, is seeking a Behavior Health Float Pool RN to float among Adult Behavioral Health, Child/Adolescent Behavioral Health, and ED Behavioral Health units. 0.7 FTE, 8-hour Day/Eve rotations, every other weekend, with shift times 07:00–15:30 and 15:00–23:30.

The role requires MN RN licensure, BCLS certification (or within 1 month), and Behavioral Health experience is preferred. Hiring incentives exist for ADN/BSN with amounts specified.

Qualifications

• Current nursing licensure in Minnesota.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 month from date of hire.
• Behavioral Health experience preferred.

• Exercise Professional Autonomy: Take responsibility for your nursing practice by making informed decisions and promoting health, recognizing that quality care is a universal right.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with patients and a multidisciplinary team (Behavioral Health Technicians, Nursing Assistants, Health Unit Coordinators, Occupational Therapists, Psychotherapists, Counselors, and Psychiatrists) to assess concerns, identify issues, and integrate both subjective and objective data.
• Implement and Evaluate Care Plans: Develop tailored care plans, apply appropriate interventions, and continuously evaluate patient outcomes to enhance overall care quality.

The Behavioral Health Float Pool consists of floating between Adult Behavioral Health, Child/Adolescent Behavioral Health, as well as the Behavioral Health unit in the Emergency Department.

This position will work the following:

• 0.7 FTE
• 8 Hour Shifts
• Day/Eve Rotation
• Every other weekend
• Additional $2.00 per hour upon hire into a float pool position

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Current nursing licensure in Minnesota
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within1 month from date of hire.
• Behavioral Health experience preferred

Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to:

ADN: $7,500

BSN: $10,000
