Job summary

Community Rehab West Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a registered nurse to provide direct patient care and lead nursing operations. You will apply the nursing process to deliver safe, high-quality care and support staff in a collaborative environment.

The role emphasizes staffing, budgeting, documentation accuracy, quality indicators, and ongoing professional development, including CRRN advancement where applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN/ADN or Nursing Diploma).
• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse.
• CPR/BCLS certification; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Ensures safe, compliant nursing care and reduces medical errors.
• Assists in budget development and manages costs for personnel, equipment, and supplies.
• Oversees staffing plans and QA of nursing hours per patient day.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance and nursing scope of practice.
• Leads staff meetings and communicates with management.
• Promotes rehabilitation philosophy and supports CRRN development.
• Monitors quality indicators and patient satisfaction to drive improvements.
• Performs hiring, coaching, and performance evaluations in the nursing dept.
• Ensures accurate documentation including medical necessity in records.
• Ensures ongoing education and training of nursing staff on QA indicators.
• Oversees attendance in team conferences and patient charge accuracy.
