Responsibilities

• Assessment Skills: Deliver patient care with competent knowledge across all stages of growth from Pediatric to Geriatric. Perform thorough, systematic, comprehensive, and accurate assessments.


• Clinical Skills: Demonstrate competent clinical skills by performing direct patient care activities. Provide appropriate nursing care and demonstrate knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures.


• Documentation: Maintain complete and accurate documentation. Assume primary responsibility for documenting the nursing process and patient progress, including patient education.


• Professionalism: Show professional practice responsibility by understanding policies and procedures and identifying areas for growth.


• Patient Satisfaction: Respond to patients, families, and co-workers in a professional manner, promoting a patient-centered environment. Maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.


• Safety: Follow National Patient Safety Goals, use safe transfer techniques, and proper body mechanics.

• Patient Education and Chart Completion: Assess patient understanding of surgical procedures and actively involve them and their families in education.


• Duties Specific to PAT RN: Support timely completion of patient testing and evaluate Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness.

Schedule

This position requires a 4 day / 9.5-hour shift from 7 AM to 5 PM. There is a Stemi on-call requirement of 10-12 shifts per month, including 1 to 2 weekends (Friday 5 PM - Monday 7 AM).
