Job summary

Deborah Heart and Lung Center is seeking a registered nurse to assist physicians and staff in diagnostic and interventional cardiac/endovascular procedures. You will prepare, educate, and support patients, applying critical care skills to recognize and manage emergencies.

On-call availability is required. Required: 1-3 years of Critical Care or Cath Lab experience, BLS/ACLS, EKG interpretation, and NJ RN license.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years Critical Care and/or Cath Lab experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certification; EKG interpretation.
• Education: Diploma or Associates required; BSN preferred.
• NJ RN license required; CCRN or RCIS preferred.
• IV certification and excellent communication/interpersonal skills; ability to work in high-stress environment.
• Sterile technique and preparing for sterile procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in diagnostic and interventional cardiac/endovascular procedures.
• Prepare, educate, and support patients during procedures.
• Provide strong critical care awareness to recognize and handle emergencies.
• On-call availability required.
• Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:30am-6pm, four 10-hour shifts with on-call.

Position Summary: Assist physicians and allied healthcare staff in performing a variety of diagnostic and interventional cardiac/endovascular procedures. Utilizes knowledge of pathophysiology to ensure patients are prepared/educated/supported during procedures. A strong critical care experience to recognize/handle emergency situations. On Call availability is required.

Experience:

Required: 1-3 years Critical Care experience and or Cath Lab experience. BLS and ACLS. EKG interpretation.

Preferred: Previous Cath Lab experience.

Education:Diploma/Associates degree required. BSN is preferred.

License and Credentials:NJ RN license required.CCRN or RCIS is preferred.

Skills:

Required: IV certification, excellent communication/interpersonal skills, flexibility, diplomacy, tact, foresight. Performs well in high stress, fast paced environment.

Preferred: Sterile technique, preparing for sterile procedures.

Bi-Weekly Hours: 80 hours

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:30am - 6pm, varying start times depending on department needs, four 10 hours shifts plus on call.

The minimum starting rate for this position is $47.08
