Job summary

The Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab Holding at HCA Florida Memorial Hospital assumes responsibility for a group of patients during a designated time and provides care through nursing processes, environment, and collaboration with healthcare team.

The role includes supervising assigned personnel, caring for cardiac and procedural patients, interpreting EKGs, recognizing abnormal values, and adhering to hospital policies to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification within 30 days of start date.
• RN license (RN) is required.
• Nursing degree at Diploma/Associate/Bachelor/Master level.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care for cardiac/procedural patients.
• Supervise assigned personnel in holding room and chest pain unit.
• Interpret EKGs and recognize abnormal values; report to physician.
• Ensure adherence to department and hospital policies for safe patient care.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a

designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing

process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care members.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect total nursing care of his/her patient

assignment. Responsible for the supervision of assigned personnel. The holding room nurse and

chest pain unit nurse are responsible for but not limited to: the care of cardiac/peripheral

procedural patients, post sheath removal, recognition of groin complications, EKG interpretation,

abnormal lab value recognition and reporting of these values to the physician, input of ACC data.

This position requires knowledge of both department and hospital policies and procedures

relevant to the delivery of nursing care. Interpretive skills, frequent interactive and consultative

associations, along with management and supervisory skills are inherent in the position. The ability

to retrieve, communicate or otherwise present information in a written, auditory, or visual fashion is

essential. The primary method to express or exchange ideas is through the spoken word. Written,

telephone, and manual dexterity skills are required for the position.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
