Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital is seeking a skilled healthcare professional to assist in invasive cardiac and electrophysiology procedures. You will support physicians, handle Cath Lab/EP equipment, and provide both direct and indirect cardiovascular care during procedures.

The role requires flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on patient safety and teamwork across the cath lab team. Education options include RCIS, nursing, or related allied health programs, with licensure

Qualifications

• Graduates of RCIS program, or nursing or allied health program, are eligible.
• RN, RCIS, or related healthcare background with applicable licensure is expected.
• ACLS and BCLS certifications are typically required; RCIS must be obtained if RCIS graduate.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician in invasive cardiac and EP procedures.
• Maintain Cath Lab/EP equipment and provide direct/indirect cardiovascular care.
• Support the cath lab team to ensure patient safety and procedure efficiency.

Overview

Assists the physician in the performance of invasive cardiac and electrophysiology procedures. Has thorough knowledge of all Cath Lab/EP Equipment and maintenance of it and administers direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures. Able to provide direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited a RCIS program Required or
• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required or
• Graduate of an accredited respiratory, paramedic, imaging or exercise physiology Required

Work Experience

• No experience required if a graduate of an RCIS program Required or
• 1 year Healthcare Imaging, Exercise Physiology, Paramedic, Respiratory, or RN experience Required

Licenses and Certifications

• Based on healthcare experienced (see above) applicable license . Upon Hire Required or
• If a graduate of RCIS program, no license is required, however, RCIS must be obtained within 2 Years Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ACLS Upon Hire Required
