Job summary

Piedmont is seeking qualified staff to assist physicians during invasive cardiac and electrophysiology procedures in the Cath Lab. The role requires knowledge of Cath Lab/EP equipment, and the ability to provide direct and indirect cardiovascular care during procedures.

Education options include RCIS program, RN degree, or related allied health programs; licensure requirements and training will be addressed upon hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RCIS program (Required) or
• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing (Required) or
• Graduate of an accredited respiratory, paramedic, imaging or exercise physiology program (Required)

Responsibilities

• Assists the physician in invasive cardiac and electrophysiology procedures.
• Maintains knowledge of Cath Lab/EP equipment and its care and maintenance.
• Provides direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during procedures.

Has thorough knowledge of all Cath Lab/EP equipment and maintenance of it and administers direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures. Able to provide direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited RCIS program (Required) or
• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing (Required) or
• Graduate of an accredited respiratory, paramedic, imaging or exercise physiology program (Required)

Work Experience

• No experience required if a graduate of an RCIS program (Required) or
• 1 year of Healthcare Imaging, Exercise Physiology, Paramedic, Respiratory, or RN experience (Required)

Licenses and Certifications

• Based on healthcare experience (see above) applicable license. Upon Hire (Required) or
• If a graduate of an RCIS program, no license is required, however, RCIS must be obtained within 2 Years (Required) and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support (Upon Hire Required) and
• ACLS (Upon Hire Required)
