Job summary

SoftPath Medical is seeking an RN for the Cath Lab in Winston-Salem, NC. This role focuses on circulating, monitoring, and assisting during complex cardiac procedures in a teaching hospital setting.

The ideal candidate carries an active RN license with BLS/ACLS and at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience. Proficiency with EPIC/Sensis Cupid EMR systems is a plus, with collaboration across physicians and anesthesia teams.

Qualifications

• Active RN license and BLS/ACLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year Cath Lab experience preferred.
• Ability to scrub/circulate and monitor in cath procedures.

Responsibilities

• Circulate, monitor, and administer medications during cardiac procedures.
• Scrub with Cardiac Cath Tech as needed.
• Operate in EPIC/Cupid/Sensis EMR environments.
• Collaborate with physicians and anesthesia team.

About Facility

• 885 licensed beds
• Level 1 Trauma Designation
• Teaching Hospital: Academic Medical Center
• Chest Pain Center
• Stroke Center

Department Information

• 5 ORs
• Average census: 20-25 patients per day
• Minimum experience required: 1 year; 2 years preferred
• First-time travelers accepted, but not preferred

Patient Types / Common Diagnoses

• Cardiac Caths, Impella, Watchman, TAVR, ECMO, Clips, Pediatric cases (as young as days old – PFO, etc.), and others

Required Licenses and Certifications

• RN: BLS, ACLS
• Cardiac Cath Tech: BLS, ARRT-R or RCIS

Skills Required

• RN: Sedation; responsible for circulating, monitoring, and medication administration.
• Proficiency in scrubbing cases is a plus but not required.
• Cardiac Cath Tech: Will scrub, circulate, and monitor but do not administer medications.
