Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care across age groups from neonate to geriatric. You will collaborate with physicians, patients and families, coordinate discharge planning, and ensure care aligns with quality and cost-effective outcomes.

Responsibilities include managing length of stay, regulatory compliance, and participating in interdisciplinary rounds.

Qualifications

• Georgia RN license required.
• Associate degree in nursing or higher.
• 3–5 years direct patient care and/or case management experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients and manage length of stay based on DRG/admitting diagnosis.
• Coordinate discharge planning with physicians, patients and families.
• Ensure timely, safe discharge and appropriate transitions to next care level.
• Collaborate with Utilization Review to ensure appropriate status and level of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and provide patient-focused care.
