Job summary

Allina Health in Minnesota is seeking a nursing supervisor to lead day-to-day clinical operations on the Mercy Procedural Care Center unit. This 1.0 FTE, 8-hour day shift role includes staff oversight, coordination of care, and ensuring compliance with standards.

You will mentor staff, manage scheduling, and partner with the Patient Care Manager to deliver high-quality patient care in a non-union setting. Travel as needed; no weekends; competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or an associate's degree with related Bachelor's or active BSN/BAN enrollment.
• 3 to 7 years in inpatient hospital nursing.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and evaluates employee performance.
• Onboards, orients, and provides ongoing coaching, mentoring and support to staff.
• Manages staff assignments and productivity; establishes expectations.
• Supports charge nurse and staff to provide staff coverage based on unit census, patient acuity and unit activity, and the unit staffing plan.
• Conducts annual evaluations and necessary corrective action for assigned staff.
• Maintains open, effective communication with patient care manager (PCM) in regard to development and performance of unit personnel.
• Apprises and educates staff in new/changed regulations, policies and procedures, and compliance.

Education

Bachelor's degree in nursing

Associate's or Vocational degree in nursing, with related Bachelor's degree or active enrollment in a BSN/BAN program
