Job summary

The Laurels of Blanchester is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to lead and coordinate resident care on assigned shifts in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans while supervising LPNs, CNAs, and other staff to ensure quality care and safety for residents.

This role emphasizes collaboration with residents, families, and the care team, ensuring seamless operations and staff scheduling to meet resident needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute care.
• Current state license to practice as an RN.
• CPR certification or CPR within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises LPNs, CNAs, and other staff providing direct care.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work aligned with resident needs.
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing and safety.
• Receives staffing calls and arranges replacements as needed.
• Transfers employees among units based on staffing demands.
• Completes performance evaluations and provides hiring input.
• Adjusts breaks and resolves staff concerns.
• Oversee unit operations during leadership absence.
• Use independent judgment in line with policies and laws.
