Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a registered nurse to provide professional nursing care using the nursing process. You will perform assessments, assist with exams and treatments, educate patients, and maintain medical records. RNs are hired based on experience levels (RN I to RN IV) to meet unit needs.

Qualified candidates hold a Texas RN license, BLS certification, and nursing education from an accredited program. Additional unit-specific certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Texas (or temporary/compact license).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate nursing care to patients per nursing skills inventory and patient age/needs.
• Coordinates planning for nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with healthcare team, delegates as appropriate, and develops discharge/transfer plans.
• Participates in program evaluation, process improvement, and patient-centered outcomes.
• Addresses diverse patient needs across the continuum of care, maintaining service standards and patient experience.
• Adheres to regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards.
• Performs other duties within scope and competency.
• Promotes professional growth and serves as preceptor/mentor to less experienced staff.
