Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a registered nurse to provide professional nursing care and patient education. The role involves nursing assessments, exams, and maintaining medical records under the nursing process, with care levels based on experience.

The ideal candidate holds a Texas nursing license (or compact license), has BLS certification, and will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and discharge planning. Bachelor's in Nursing is preferred.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelor's of Nursing preferred.
Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing.
Certified in Basic Life Support; additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements

Responsibilities

Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients according to nursing skills and patient needs.
Coordinates planning for delivery of nursing care with an interdisciplinary team.
Collaborates with and may delegate to the healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes.
Coordinates discharge and transfer plans.
Participates in evaluation of programs and process improvements.
Adheres to Memorial Hermann standards, policies and budgetary guidelines.
