Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking registered nurses to join our team. You will collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to deliver high-quality care, perform nursing assessments, participate in exams and treatments, educate patients, and maintain medical records.

RNs are hired based on experience groupings (RN I through RN IV). A Texas license or temporary/compact license is required, with BLS certification and additional unit-specific certifications as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients according to the nursing skills inventory and patient needs.
• Coordinates nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with and may delegate to the healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes.
• Coordinates treatment plans; develops/discharges transfers plans.
• Supports department goals and professional growth; may serve as preceptor or mentor.
