Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Texas seeks an experienced registered nurse to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in delivering patient care. You will perform nursing assessments, assist with exams and treatment, educate patients, and maintain medical records in support of our mission to advance health.

RNs are hired with experience groupings (I, II, III, IV) and must hold a Texas license and BLS.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; BSN preferred.
Current Texas RN license or temporary/compact license; BLS certification required.
Effective oral and written communication; teamwork and accountability in care delivery.

Responsibilities

Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients following the nursing process and age-specific needs.
Coordinates nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
Collaborates with and may delegate to healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes.
Develops and implements discharge and transfer plans; participates in program evaluation.
Promotes patient-centered care and adherence to regulatory standards and hospital policies.
Serves as a mentor/preceptor to less experienced staff and supports ongoing education.
