Northwell is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to perform age-specific care using the nursing process and collaborate with physicians and the health care team to coordinate patient care. The role requires leadership, clinical judgment, and the ability to direct and delegate activities of the care unit team.

The candidate will assess multiple health domains, document effectively, and participate in discharge planning, with emphasis on safety and quality of care in a dynamic clinical setting.

Qualificações

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, preferred. Must be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two (2) years and obtain a BSN Degree within five (5) years of job entry date.
• Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Conducts patient interview, explains policies and procedures to patient/ significant others, reviews patient’s chart and answers questions correctly and courteously; assesses health status in multiple systems and adjusts plan of care.
• Develops patient outcome statements and establishes individualized goals; coordinates cost-effective use of supplies, equipment and medication to achieve outcomes and documents the plan of care.
• Accurately interprets and implements treatment regimens; assists physicians during treatments; provides discharge planning and referrals; maintains documentation and communicates with care team.
