The role focuses on direct nursing care, patient safety, and team leadership to optimize unit flow. Requires an RN license in Texas, BCLS, and 2+ years’ clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved RN nursing program.
• Valid and current Texas RN license.
• Current BCLS through American Heart Association.
• 2+ years in a clinical area related to assigned department.
• CRT experience.
• Experience leading a team.
• Proven ability to use equipment and related supplies for CPR, oxygen administration and IV therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care by applying clinical nursing knowledge and skills.
• Ensure safety and comfort of patients and families according to standards.
• Provide team leadership to improve station or unit flow and functioning.
• Support development for other roles you may be interested in.
