Suncoast Hospice, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a caring Hospice Care Center Registered Nurse to work at our Pinellas County Care Center. You will provide compassionate hospice care in an inpatient setting, assess needs, coordinate care, and oversee LPNs and aides.

You may be reassigned to another Care Center as needed. The role requires a valid Florida RN license and driver's license, with a schedule of day shift 8a-8p, every other weekend.

Formación

Suncoast Hospice, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a caring and motivated Hospice Care Center Registered Nurse to work with us at our Care Center in Pinellas County while providing exceptional care. The Care Center RN provides compassionate hospice care to terminally ill patients and their families in an inpatient setting. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, coordinating care, managing symptoms, providing education and support, and overseeing LPNs and aides. The RN is required to work where needed and will be reassigned to another Care Center based on business needs. Schedule: Day shift 8a-8p every other weekend. What you'll Do:

• Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, coordinating care, managing symptoms, providing education and support, and overseeing LPNs and aides.
• Is responsible for identifying and coordinating patient/family needs and for providing preventive and supportive care to the terminally ill patient/family unit.
• Utilizes assessment, intervention and teaching skills to maximize patient comfort and to enhance the quality of life to the patient/family unit.
• Provides oversight and supervision of the LPN and/or aide for the delivery of patient care in the GIP environment.
• The RN reports to Patient/Family Care Coordinator/Care Center Manager.
• Required to float if needed.

What You’ll Need

• Valid Florida license as a Registered Nurse
• Valid Florida State Driver’s License
• Minimum of 1 year of current active nursing experience; with experience in caring for terminally ill patients or those with life threatening illnesses preferred; prefer one (1) year experience in an acute or post acute care setting.
