Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 13-bed Cardiovascular Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CSICU). You will deliver direct nursing care, implement care plans, monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and coordinate discharge needs in a fast-paced cardiothoracic setting.

This role requires an RN license, 1 year acute care experience, and BLS; ACLS is required within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• One year of current acute care RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• ACLS certification required within hire or within one year of employment.

Hillcrest Hospital’s 13-bed Cardiovascular Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) is part of a comprehensive cardiothoracic and vascular program that cares pre- and post-operative open heart, thoracic and vascular surgery patients, diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization patients with associated interventions, such as percutaneous cardiac angioplasty and stent placement, ablations and pacemaker/internal cardiac defibrillator insertions and general med/surg ICU/CCU overflow patients. As an RN, you will deliver exceptional care, throughout the patient care journey. A caregiver in this position works rotating days/nights from 7:00AM - 7:30PM and 7:00PM - 7:30AM, including every other weekend and holiday.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• One year of current acute care RN experience. Will consider military RN experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon hire or within one year of employment

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $35.50

Maximum hourly: $55.60
