Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is seeking an RN for the night shift on 4 West Tower, providing comprehensive orthopedic, neurosurgical and trauma care to adults and geriatric patients. You will work with a supportive team to implement and adjust care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families.

Minimum qualifications include ADN/BSN, active RN licensure, BLS, and at least one year in acute care. Relocation and tuition programs may be available.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross.
• One year of current acute care RN experience.

Responsibilities

Hillcrest Hospital’s 4 West Tower Complex Medical Care unit provides orthopaedic surgery, neurosurgery, and trauma services to adult and geriatric patients requiring medical, surgical, and telemetry care. Heart conditions, vascular and neurological diseases, and congestive heart failure are just a few of this unit’s clinical specialties, but as a Level 2 trauma unit, caregivers can also gain valuable trauma experience and skills in a fast-paced environment. As an RN in this unit, you will help ensure patients have the care they need quickly. All the while, your fellow caregivers will assist you, offering a cohesive, encouraging and constructive front to enhance the patient's experience and your skills as a nurse.

A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00pm to 7:30am with weekend and holiday requirements occurring every other weekend and holiday. No on-call requirements. This role will be stationed at Hillcrest Hospital 4 West Tower.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide direct nursing care.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• One-year of current acute care RN experience. Will consider military RN experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $35.50

Maximum hourly: $55.60
