Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is seeking an experienced RN for the 3E Cardiovascular ICU.

You will care for cardiothoracic, vascular, general, and head/neck surgery ICU patients as part of a collaborative team committed to excellence in patient care and Mercy's mission. Position offers sign-on bonuses up to $20,000 for experienced nurses, relocation assistance, education assistance, day-one benefits, and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or will be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Care for Cardiovascular ICU patients including cardiothoracic, vascular, general, and head/neck surgery ICU patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.

3E Cardiovascular ICU

3E is the Cardiovascular and Surgical ICU. We care for all cardiothoracic, vascular, general, and head/neck surgery patients requiring ICU admission. Some common patients we care for are:

• CABG and Valve Repair/Replacement
• Vascular Stent and Bypasses
• Cardiogenic Shock
• STEMI/NSTEMI
• Radical Neck Dissection
• General Surgery

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program

Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Physical Requirements/demands

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Certifications

• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
