Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO, seeks a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse Resident for the 4H Cardiac Progressive Care unit. This full-time, 36-hour/week position covers 12-hour day shifts (7:00am–7:30pm).

The role emphasizes nursing process, patient care coordination, and maintaining patient rights and confidentiality within Mercy's mission and service standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program with RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or complete within 30 days of hire.
• Other unit-specific certifications as required.

Responsibilities

Department: 4H Cardiac Progressive Care

Status: Full-Time - 36 hours/week

Shift: 12 Hour Days (7:00am - 7:30pm)

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications as required.

• Other:Physical requirements/demands:

  • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.

  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.

  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
