Job summary

Hunterdon Health is seeking a Per Diem Interventional Cardiology RN in Flemington, NJ. The role involves providing quality nursing care based on the nursing process and evidence-based practice within Shared Governance.

Requirements include a NJ RN license, BLS & ACLS, and 2+ years staff RN experience with 1+ year in cardiovascular nursing. BSN preferred; cath lab experience a plus. Per diem hours, M-F variable, days/evenings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing required for hires after July 2012; ADN or Diploma RNs must prove enrollment in a BSN program and complete within 5 years or upon internal RN promotion.
• Minimum of two years experience as staff RN; minimum of one year in cardiovascular nursing.
• Current NJ RN license and BLS and ACLS certification.
• Preferred: Cardiac catheterization nursing experience; PCCN, CCRN, Cardiac Vascular certifications.

Position Summary

Provides quality nursing care through the application of the nursing process using evidence based practice focusing on excellent outcomes and patient experience within the framework of Shared Governance.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

Required: All hires after July 2012 are required to have a Bachelor's Degree in nursing OR if Associates Degree or Diploma, RN must provide proof of enrollment in a BSN program prior to hire, be continuously enrolled and complete within 5 years of hire date or internal RN promotion date.

Required:

Minimum of two years experience as staff RN. Minimum of one year experience as cardiovascular RN.

Preferred:

Previous experience in cardiac catheterization nursing

Required:

License, Registry or Certification: Current NJ RN licensure and BLS and ACLS certification.

Preferred:

Certification in specialty, PCCN, CCRN, Cardiac Vascular

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:

• Must pass annual clinical competency based program and mandated in-service education.
• Unit specific skills may include but not limited to IV therapy, basic arrhythmia interpretation, vent training, critical care, conscious sedation, Bi-Pap/CPAP and EndTidal CO2, IABP, Impella, and other procedure related technologies.
• Skills will be determined by a challenge exam and/or skill performance or by completion of a Staff Development course.
