Job summary

Hunterdon Health in Flemington, NJ seeks Registered Radiology Technologist RT(R) or RCIS for Interventional Cardiology in the Cath Lab. Per Diem role, day shifts with on-call, Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings or nights.

You will perform radiographic imaging, assist physicians and nursing staff, maintain records, and ensure safety and quality in all Cath Lab procedures. Requires radiology program graduate, RT(R)/RCIS, ACLS/BLS, and at least 1 year experience; 2+ preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Graduate of Radiology Technology program, Registered Radiology Technologist through AART.
• Minimum 1 year of experience; 2+ years preferred.
• Licenses: RT(R) or RCIS (or registry eligible); ACLS; BLS.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the Cath Lab and equipment for procedures, maintain inventory, and keep a clean environment.
• Function as scrub assistant during diagnostic and interventional Cath Lab procedures.
• Act as hemodynamic monitor and control room operator during procedures; recordkeeping of procedures.
• Provide high quality radiographic imaging, including QA and radiation safety.
• Review orders and patient records; explain procedures and provide a high level patient experience.
• Maintain records of images, reports, equipment maintenance, and inventory control.

Position Summary

The Registered Radiology Technologist RT(R)/Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) serves as a member of the Cardiovascular Catheterization Team. Independently performs technical duties associated with procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab, assists physicians in performing procedures and assists nursing staff with patient care activities.

Primary Position Responsibilities

• Prepare the Catheterization Laboratory and equipment for procedures, maintain supply inventory, and support a clean environment of care.
• Function as scrub assistant during diagnostic, interventional and all other procedures performed in the Cath Lab.
• Function as hemodynamic monitor and control room operator during procedures; provides accurate recordkeeping of procedures.
• Provides high quality radiographic imaging, which includes quality assurance and radiation safety.
• Review documentation, including procedure orders and patient medical record; explain procedure, answer questions and provide a high level patient experience.
• Maintain record of images, reports, equipment maintenance, and inventory control.
