Medical City Las Colinas is seeking a skilled RN for the Cardiac Cath Lab to provide high-quality care and support in a dynamic cardiology environment. The role emphasizes nursing assessments, care planning, and patient/family education within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN – Registered Nurse credentialing.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or related field.
• 1 year experience in Cath Lab, ICU, or ED preferred/requied.

Responsabilités

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments following standards of care and disease-specific protocols.
• Plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes.
• Provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed staff within RN scope of practice.
• Provide education and emotional support, incorporating patient/family teaching.
• Supervise invasive cardiac and peripheral procedures with strict aseptic technique.

Our Cardiac Cath Registered Nurses raise the bar by providing clinical expertise and the highest quality care in the most compassionate way. We provide comprehensive cardiology services with a specialized focus on heart diagnostic testing. We prioritize early detection and treatment of heart disease, which is why we offer advanced technology to provide you with accurate and quick results of your heart's condition. What you will do in this role:

• You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments regarding the health status of the patient, following standards of care and disease specific protocols.


• You will plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.


• You will provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN’s scope of practice and in accordance with established policies.


• You will provide education and emotional support appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance and incorporate patient/family teaching into all aspects of nursing practice.


• You will supervise invasive cardiac and peripheral procedures as to adherence to aseptic and sterile technique.

What qualifications you will need:
