Job summary

Medical City Las Colinas in Irving, TX is seeking an experienced RN for our Cardiac Cath Lab. You will deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care, assess patients, prepare for procedures, monitor during interventions, and collaborate with a skilled cardiology team to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN license and nursing degree required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Cath Lab, ICU, or ED.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments following standards of care.
• Plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes.
• Provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed staff within scope.
• Educate patients and families and provide emotional support.

What you will do in this role

• You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments regarding the health status of the patient, following standards of care and disease specific protocols.
• You will plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
• You will provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN’s scope of practice and in accordance with established policies.
• You will provide education and emotional support appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance and incorporate patient/family teaching into all aspects of nursing practice.
• You will supervise invasive cardiac and peripheral procedures as to adherence to aseptic and sterile technique.

What qualifications you will need

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• 1 years experience in Cath Lab, ICU, or ED Required
