Job summary

Essentia Health in Duluth, MN, is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Level 17 Cardiac Unit at St Mary's Medical Center. You will care for post-op heart surgery, telemetry, ablations, and chronic heart failure patients on a 0.8 FTE schedule with day/night rotation and every other weekend.

Requires Minnesota RN license, BCLS within one month, and ACLS within the first year. Eligible candidates may receive a hiring incentive of up to $10,000 (BSN) or $7,500 (ADN).

Qualifications

• Minnesota nursing licensure is required.
• BCLS certification within one month of start.
• ACLS certification required within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Organize and provide care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Lead a nursing team and delegate tasks based on licensure and training.
• Support the facility's mission and Essentia's goals while serving the community.
• Meet Joint Commission and other regulatory/accrediting standards.

We are currently hiring an RN for our Level 17 Cardiac Unit at St Mary's Medical Center!

Types of patients and conditions you will see: post op heart surgery, telemetry monitoring, pacemaker, ablations, vasculature patients, A-fib stabilization, arrythmias, syncope, and chronic heart failure.

Education Qualifications:

What you'll get to do in this role:

• You will be in charge of organizing and providing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

• You will get to be a team leader and delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions.

• You will be part of something bigger as you will contribute to meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and in turn serve the community in which you live.

• You will meet the requirements of the Joint Commission as applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

This position will work the following:

• 0.8 FTE

• 8 Hour Shifts

• Day/Night Rotation

• Every other weekend

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

• Current nursing licensure in Minnesota

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month

• ACLS required within the first year

Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to:

ADN: $7,500

BSN: $10,000
