Job summary

Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) seeks a Nurse Case Manager to join Health Services. You will manage a caseload of students with complex medical needs, providing direct nursing care, education, and case management to promote academic success.

You will collaborate with RISD staff and community providers, ensure immunization compliance, and support wellness initiatives on campus in a diverse, equity‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed in Rhode Island.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum five years nursing experience.
• Familiarity with EMR and HIPAA/FERPA standards.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Triage concerns, provide nursing assessment, and refer to Nurse Practitioner as needed.
• Manage immunization compliance and track with the EMR.
• Monitor inbox for timely evaluation of results and follow‑ups.
• Coordinate care and transportation for emergent/urgent situations.
• Provide health counseling on nutrition, wellness, and sexual health.
• Maintain documentation of encounters and care plans in EMR.
• Support campus wellness initiatives and participate in quality improvement.
