Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) seeks a Nurse Case Manager to join Health Services. The role handles a caseload of students with complex medical concerns, balancing direct nursing care with case management and health education on campus.

You will collaborate with RISD staff to promote student well‑being, manage immunization requirements, and coordinate referrals to community providers while upholding equity and inclusion in campus health.

Qualifications

• RN license active in Rhode Island
• BLS certification required
• Minimum five years nursing experience
• EMR experience required
• Experience with diverse student populations (international, LGBTQ+)
• Familiarity with HIPAA and FERPA policies

Responsibilities

• Triage concerns, perform nursing assessment, refer to NP as needed
• Maintain immunization compliance per regulations and policies
• Monitor critical results and clinical inbox
• Coordinate high‑risk referrals and follow‑up care plans
• Coordinate care and transportation for emergent situations
• Review on‑call reports to ensure outreach and continuity of care
• Provide health education on nutrition, sexual health, substances, contraception
• Document encounters and care plans in the EMR
